Getting Engaged: It Takes Two

by Catherine Angiel September 23, 2018

Engagement season is about to be upon us, from Thanksgiving until February and there has been a notable change in how couples are buying their rings. Call them crazy, but couples are deciding to design and pick out engagement rings together. Younger couples are moving further away from the traditional surprise and opting to create the ring of their dreams. Many of my clients will come in and decide on the ring and stone together. They still keep the actual proposal a surprise they just ensure that every detail of it is perfect, all the way down to the ring. Designing an engagement ring with your partner makes the process and the ring itself even more special. When you’re looking for a ring that can be considered a family heirloom and passed down through generations why not make sure it’s everything you’ve dreamed about?  Don’t worry about being robbed of the element of surprise that was once so fundamental in the history of proposals because nothing beats getting exactly what you’ve wanted.
